In her role as a Nevada Commissioner and Chair of the Legislative Sub-Committee, M.Y.S. President, Myisha Boyce, worked with peers and local legislators to draft, carry, and deliver testimony in support of Assembly Bill 302 which passed with overwhelming support by both the State Senate and Assembly. The new law allows the Commission on Minority Affairs to be granted two Bill Draft Requests each session, ensuring legislative advocacy for concerns related to Nevada minorities are carried directly by the Commission.
The office of Governor Steve Sisolak invited key representatives to a bill signing at the Asian Community Development Council’s offices (ACDC) to recognize the passage of new laws that would ensure additional representation for Nevada’s minority residents.
