FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Montana Office of Public Instruction Selects MYS Project & Brand Management to Manage Comprehensive Assessment System Peer Review

Las Vegas, NVJuly 18, 2016 – The Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) awarded MYS Project & Brand Management (MYS), a sub-contract to provide technical assistance to the agency for a peer review of Montana’s Comprehensive Assessment System (MontCAS).

The purpose of the peer review is to demonstrate that MontCAS meets the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by No Child Left Behind.  Critical elements that the state must address in the peer review include a statewide system of standards and assessments, assessment system operations, technical quality, inclusion of all students, and academic achievement setting and reporting.

MYS will provide project management and related support services, including the creation and maintenance of a communication plan for stakeholders, as well as oversight of the scope of activities required to complete the peer review, development of a master plan for the collection and preparation of evidence for the peer review, and production of project deliverables as required by United States Department of Education (USED) that demonstrate the technical quality of MontCAS.

“We are excited to be a part of this important educational process by providing technical assistance to the Montana OPI to accomplish the peer review of Montana’s Comprehensive Assessment System.  We are honored to add Montana to our growing list of state partnerships and are grateful for the growth we are able to accomplish as a result.”, stated Laura Silva, Creative Director and Managing Member.
